CYM Tip: Lesson Make-Ups

CYM Faculty create their own schedules and lesson breaks are determined through conversations between students and teachers. When you have a schedule request, plan, or limitation, please talk to your teacher. We hope you communicate about changes in your schedule as soon as you can. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please let your teacher know 24 hours in advance when you will be absent and he or she will let you know what times are available to make up for the cancelled lesson. Your teacher will provide you with a make-up opportunity provided that they can accommodate your scheduling request. It is most helpful to give them as much advance notice as possible and if possible, make up the lesson ahead of the cancelled lesson time.

Once an appropriate make-up time is confirmed, it cannot be changed again, sorry!

Most students have made an annual commitment in order to secure their lesson time and teacher selections, and will complete each school year that they begin. CYM Faculty want to provide families with as much flexibility as possible. Each family may make-up as many lessons that are canceled 24 hours in advance as their teachers can accommodate, and should they require more, they are encouraged to make arrangements with another faculty member.
