Great Performances at the Perry Highway Lutheran Church!

Ten student musicians performed early in June at the Perry Highway Lutheran Church. The audience was treated to a range of repertoire, from Twinkle to the first movement of the Sonata No. 4 in a minor for piano and violin, by Beethoven. Patrick, who started violin this winter, had his first performance at CYM, and Alena, who is moving out of state, had her last. One of the highlights of the concert was the performance of the Beethoven by Alena and Abby. Both girls learned the complex piece separately then had several rehearsals to put the parts together. They rehearsed alone, and with both Ms. Grace and Ms. Leah. Silia and Melina were recognized for their hard work of practicing every day in May with CYM Practice Challenge medals. Thank you to all of the musicians and their families that took the time to attend and enjoy the performances!
