Local Opera Singer Joins a 12-Hour Opera!

Talk about a marathon! Local opera singer Pascale Beaudin is taking part in Opera Lafayette’s 12-hour music marathon for Fête de la Musique. Here’s more information from the Pittsburgh City Paper:

Opera Lafayette’s marathon for Fête de la Musique, or World Music Day, is Sun., June 20 starting at 8 a.m. with performances in one- and two-hour slots until 8 p.m. Beaudin’s performances will be at noon as part of François-André Danican Philidor’s The Blacksmith and at 4 p.m. in a performance from the company’s archives.

“I’m excited to hear my colleagues and to have the memory of those moments together,” says Beaudin. “And I’m excited to see photos of productions and hear productions that I haven’t been in, that I haven’t had the chance to see.”
