The Jazz Workshop, Inc. marks half a century of enriching the world of music education
this year, while delivering captivating performances across Pittsburgh and its neighboring regions. Over the years, we’ve imparted knowledge to countless students. Our commitment to hosting summertime concerts, like “Jazz on the Steps” and “Jazz on Larimer,” remains steadfast. Recently, we orchestrated a remarkable celebratory event at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theatre, featuring outstanding talents such as Bobby Sanabria, Christopher Dean Sullivan, Mala Waldron, and Jay Hoggard. Furthermore, our performances extend to schools, parks, nursing homes, senior centers, and private gatherings.

Jack Turner began playing guitar after hearing a recording by jazz organist Charles Earland called “Daily Double”. Upon graduating from high school and touring with an R&B band, it was in Atlantic City where Jack sat in with Earland, who was performing at Club Harlem. A few months later he received a call to join Charles’ band where for the next three plus years he would appear on several recordings and live sets, including “Charles III”, “Odyssey”, “The Great Pyramid”, and Revelation”. With his solo albums “I Got Next” and “Run it Back” and several radio singles, Jack Turner returns to the audience and opens a new chapter in his musical life. https://www.jackturnerjazz.com/ For more information go to https://www.jazzworkshopinc.org/ We hope you will attend!
