Valentine’s Ukulele Sing-A-Long
Student Age Range
Ages 6 and up
Course Description
In this course, students will learn love songs from popular music that they can strum, hum, and sing.
Who may participate? 
Anyone can participate as long as each student has their own ukulele (ukuleles may be ordered from the CYM Amazon page if needed). No prior experience with ukulele or voice required.
What will the students be doing? 
Each class lasts 90 minutes – students work in small groups with the vocal then the instrumental coaches, then the groups come together to rehearse what they have learned.
What will they accomplish?
Students will improve singing ability, learn basic harmony, and be able to accompany themselves singing. Some basic music theory will be covered as well.
What will the students be able to do upon completion?
Students will have a set of songs they can strum and sing, plus they will know how to learn new songs on their own after the course.
Where will the activity be held?
Virtually, on Zoom. 
When will it happen?
4 consecutive Saturdays, starting Feb 13 and ending March 6. Each meeting lasts from 11 am – 12:30 pm.
How will a student prepare for the event?
Students will need their own ukulele, and parents need to print out materials sent by email before each meeting.
Why would a student take this course? This course will be a fun way to learn how to lead sing-a-longs at home with the rest of the family.
