Founder and owner of Perfectly Polite, Betsy Rogerson provides modern etiquette instruction to families and schools throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Certified by the American Academy of Etiquette, Betsy is a licensed expert in the Manners to Go™ program, which specializes in the unique needs of children and teens.
For Betsy, the cornerstone of all etiquette is building confidence in the individual so they can navigate any situation with ease. Perfectly Polite’s customized programs develop the soft skills young musicians need to create a professional, polished impression before, during, and after each performance.
Successful musicians understand the power of practice. Perfectly Polite harnesses this dedication and utilizes it to develop the soft skills that are important off of the stage. Through extensive role play and interactive teaching, musicians hone important professional skills such as eye contact, carrying on a conversation, posture, professional appearance, and proper use of technology to help build their reputations.
A graduate of Duquesne University, Betsy began her career in branding and marketing. Developing public relations campaigns for the musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during their contract negotiations was her introduction to the world of professional music, giving her a deep respect and profound appreciation for the rigor and dedication to craft that musicians employ.
Just as much as manners and etiquette, Betsy believes in the importance of music in a child’s development. She is a proud parent to two young musicians and a ballerina.
