Practice Makes Permanent

Congrats to Caroline, Ruby, Sofi, Emilie, Liam, Thomas, RJ, Eli, Violet, and Sonia – and their home teams! Your CYM violin, viola, guitar, and piano teachers are really proud of you! The Practice Challenge Winners stayed focused at for least 30 minutes each session, moving through 31 consecutive practice days in October. Why is that significant? Because consistency develops stamina, repetition develops automaticity. These are attributes used in any new skill acquisition and especially helpful if one wants to advance in the language of music. Consistent practicing makes daily effort a permanent way of being – and makes musical skills stick. Keep it up!
