    Dr. Jacqueline “Jaki” Young leads The Jazz Workshop, Inc., a Pittsburgh nonprofit bringing jazz education and performance to underserved communities since 1973. A saxophonist, social worker, and PhD, she continues her late father’s legacy through concerts, school programs, and outreach across Western Pennsylvania.

  • Free the Music

    Hudson Colletti founded Free the Music, a Craft Your Music partner that places donated, artist-painted pianos in public spaces across Pittsburgh for anyone to play. Inspired by Montreal’s street pianos, this Pomona College senior connects communities through shared music—including a partnership with Pittsburgh International Airport.

  • Dr. Jennifer Blackwell, PhD.

    Dr. Jennifer Blackwell, a Craft Your Music Community Partner, is a musician, educator, and researcher who trains skilled performers to become excellent teachers. A classical saxophonist and assistant professor at Northwestern’s Bienen School of Music, her work demystifies music pedagogy across Canada, the US, and beyond.
