Practice Challenge Winners Tell All With Their Smiles

What difference does it make you ask? to set out to practice constructively for 30 days, to be honest about it and not miss a day, and to gain the momentum of stringing together focused and enjoyable sessions? It makes the difference between “yawn” (monotonous practice) and “calm” (confidence building practice). Setting, whittling away at, and completing personal goals like CYM’s Month-Long and 200 Day Practice Challenges, makes repetitive work seem easy because you get into a groove and are part of a group who is going for it with you.

Congratulations to the kids who just finished their challenges – we are proud of you! Thanks to teachers Grace Burns, Christopher Sforza, Leah Givelber, Erich Riebe, and Gabrielle Faetini who guided the students and, thanks to the parents who supported every effort!

Isaiah, Kenzie, Sami, (Grace’s students) and Zach (Chris’s students) are thrilled to have completed their 200 Day Practice Challenges. Student’s comments ranged from, “I just had to do it. It was time”, to “not as hard as I thought it would be”, to “the 201st day was SO fun – I took the day off from music practice”!

And for practicing every day in May, our congratulations to Avi, Reena, Amit, Patrick, Silia, Melina, Lucas, Noah, Maggie, and Jordan. Many of these kids were first time challenge winners! A few are pictured here:
